Y'know. I have nothing against people who feel like their own life is fulfilled by getting married and having kids and all that, but I DO have something against them shoving that in my face and making me feel like less of a person because I'm not married with kids at 27.
Because, hey, maybe I don't actually want that right now, or maybe I'll never want it! Maybe I like having my own freedom! Maybe I like the job they say I'm too tied down with! Maybe THAT is fulfilling to me!
And maybe I don't appreciate being made to feel like a complete joke all night.
ARGH!
Maybe taking up that offer to meet up with old school friends here in Heartland tonight wasn't such a great idea.

Honestly, you're free to say what you like.
I'm mostly just blowing off steam. I kinda had to keep this in for 2 hours straight.

My kid sister's like 25-26. And she's perfectly happy working for SAI as a high ranking personal assistant, and collecting occult books.
So. Not like you're wrong but ugh, that sounds annoying.
Says the somewhat rich mom actively dating and holds a job.

You and your sister are a good example of how differently people can view what's fulfilling to them in their own life.
I just wish some people weren't so close minded that they think what's fulfilling for them, should be fulfilling for everyone, then force that ideal on them.

But nothing wrong with being a career oriented investigative journalist. World needs 'em.
