So.
My parents showed up out of the blue on Yuma and Kotori's doorstep last night.
Today I saw and spoke to them for the first time in about nine years.
I honestly didn't know what to even think. There is a lot I want to say to them. A lot I wanted to tell them, but today I was just a bit overwhelmed by them just... being here.
In the end, the most important thing is that they're here and I'm happy that they are.

The more time passed, the more I believed they were dead. They were adventurers and they didn't always tell us the exact details of where they were going, so it was easy to believe they might have gotten into difficulty somewhere.
Then a few years ago, Yuma found them. They'd been in another world, called the Astral World, all that time. The 'Astrals' took them because they didn't want them to influence Yuma, since Yuma was some kind of important figure to them or something. Apparently, Yuma (and I guess me too) are descended from these 'Astrals' through our mother's side. I have no idea on the exact details, but since then they've been working with these beings, I guess to make them and their leader better people? Which honestly, is something my parents would do.
But I guess now they're testing to see if they'll be alright on their own, so they finally came to visit us for a bit.

It sounds hard to believe, but I guess it isn't something anyone would just come up with to explain why their folks aren't around. Plus it isn't like weirder things haven't cropped up.

Believe me. Had anyone told that story to me years ago, I wouldn't of believed it.
But now I'm aware of so much more, like living Duel Monsters, other dimensions, people with supernatural abilities...
... and my family has been at the centre of a lot of those things over the last few years.

But I guess Tsukumo's been through a lot, himself.
Do your folks know about what's been happening at all? About what happened with Heartland, before?

Well, apparently that one can.
I ... try not to think about it too much.
